Knauf

Based on the requirements of Knauf and the high standards successfully adopted by Ecoglobal BTD in the production process and quality control, “Ecostarch K” received top quality ratings, and Knauf ranked Ecoglobal BTD among the best suppliers in the first half of 2021.

Based on the specific requirements of Knauf, we designed the product “Ecostarch K,” which in November 2020 passed all required laboratory and production testing at Knauf.

To the mutual satisfaction of both parties, a multi-year contract for the mass production of “Ecostarch K” was signed, and in January 2021, mass production and delivery of “Ecostarch K” began to more than 15 Knauf factories across several continents.

Eco Starch Project

Eco Starch K for gypsum boards is a technological solution highly applicable in construction, offering an environmentally friendly alternative to the traditional production methods of gypsum boards. Standard gypsum board production, widely used as a primary material in residential and commercial buildings, often contains chemical reagents that can be harmful to human health and the environment. The goal of this innovative solution is to minimize the risk of adverse effects from construction materials and ensure a healthy environment for everyday living.

Eco Starch K is the first adopted product in our production process. It is characterized by the following properties:
a) As an adhesive, it binds and unites the gypsum mixture into a cohesive whole,
b) As a highly hygroscopic material, it absorbs excess water and moisture and expels it from the gypsum mixture,
c) It creates a thin water film between the gypsum mixture and paper, allowing the evaporation of water during the drying process of gypsum boards to bond the gypsum to the paper.

As part of the Eco Starch project portfolio, our company has developed various starch modifications used as technical solutions in different industries. The products are applied in the paper and cardboard industry, briquette production, oil industry, and more. The goal of developing and improving our production is to meet all the technical and technological needs of clients in these fields.
